This route is ideal for some lovely sightseeing in the city of Ghent. To avoid large crowds, I suggest going this route either early in the morning or later in the evening. The beautiful lighting of the buildings will not make you regret this decision.
The route itself consists of a loop with a total distance of 4.5-5 km that will take you alongside the beautiful library the Krook, through Ghent's historical centre, the Korenmarkt, Saint Bavo's Cathedral, the Graslei and many more. You can start the route anywhere you like and finish just where you began!
This route will also take you along some of the many rivers in and around Ghent such as the Leie and the Coupure with some wide boardwalks.
If you enjoyed this route, be sure to give it a like, and don't forget to check out the other routes! Do you have some suggestions or variations to this specific route, let me know below this post or send me an email.
